To validate environmental performance the company has adopted the ISO 14001 standard “Environmental Management System” and to verify forest management practices the company has adopted the Sustainable Forestry Initiative 2005-2009 Standard. Under both systems the companies environmental and forest management practices are audited by an independent third party on an annual basis for compliance or non-compliance and areas requiring improvement. Both standards are designed to ensure prevention of environmental damage, continuous improvement in environmental performance and promote best forest management practices. The company received their Certificates of Registration on December 22, 2006.
